The codes says 66 and 67. Is it possible to say that the amp is a early 68?

I think you could strike up a casual conversation and if the signs point towards acceptance, you could invite the Plexi out for a cup of coffee or perhaps an adult beverage.

I'm not one to judge but wouldn't you really want to date a Supermodel? :agreed:

    A 67 or 68 probably.
You can see that the screen resistors were added and so I am leaning 67.

The Drake transformers don't have date codes this early. The mustard codes usually predate manufacture by months. The S/ vs S/A serial prefix is an indication of late '67 to early '68. The slotted turrets lead me to late '67. It's hard to pinpoint 50s from that era.

I posted in the images section
    It is typical late 67.
The slightly longer solid board near the diode and the transformer types. Of course the choke is an early 70s type replacement.
Quite a lot of parts in the board have been replaced, more than for simple servicing, so I guess some mods have been reversed (it had MV once (see new red wire on treble pot wiper).
Date stamps did not appear on transformer bells until 73/73 AFAIK

Good point, and remember she's gonna be over 50 years old, and probably a bit beat up. But if you play her hard she can still scream like a bitch and purr like a kitten. Plus, if like me, you are pushing 60, she can still look gorgeous after a couple of beers.
