How do I remove preamp tube from metal case?

I have a dsl40cr and I’m trying to replace the tubes but one of my preamp tubes is in a metal case how do I pull it out? Thanks!

Usually you push the metal can downward and twist…it should pop off.

I usually take a pair of channel locks and crush and twist it off.............................NO dont do that!!

yea. push down, then turn counter clockwise about a 1/2 inch, then release, and it'll pop up. there's a spring under there. you can see the grooves at the base for the nub. Once you do it, you'll feel like an idiot how easy it is.
