The Vintage Modern pedal has two switches. One for gain level and the other for reverb. I really wish they had put some LEDs on there so you could see where you are, especially with the reverb. The gain is pretty obvious if you're in the wrong one, but still it would be nice to have a LED there, too.

How difficult would this be to do? I know I'd have to drill a couple holes.

    Hi,

Easy, and cheap too. You need to find out what the voltage is. Lets say it is 12v. You know need to find out what the voltage the LED works at. Lets say 4v. So you need a resistor rated at the difference in voltage so the LED does not get too much v. In this case it would be 8v. Drop them in parallel to the on/off circuit and off you go!

Please note: I have NO idea what the voltage is so do check that out first!

    Cheers Brett

i believe that with time you ll always have the reverb on so it wont be an issue. However if you combine the magnificent VM with some midi controllable devices (say TC gsystem or whatever effect or even preamp etc...) then also get a bigger footswitch with leds and display of preset so you know if reverb is on...

The only real reason you would need a light
    is for the reverb
