^ Pepper Keenan's name for the ol' school Peaveys .
Im about >this< close to doing a gig with this amp . Still not quite happy with the speaker ( square mag eminence ) , but I tried sme good ol' celestions in there and it sounded even worse . Segeborn has a Peavey Sheffield in the Pacer he demoed , doesn't sound bad
I'll have to try this amp out with some good guitars and see where it goes ....

Yeah, I gotta wonder ,is only a matter of time before that ol school Peavey sh*t catches on .....
The 70s SS stuff didn't sound SO great .This one's OK ,I'd gig with it .They still have that mushy 70s transistor breakup though
The 80s peaveys started gettin real good . You can get as decent a rock tone outa them as out of a JCM era solid state

Ive never had much love for the Peavey hybrids though

I have one those 70s Pacers with the metal knobs too. With the original cover no less... My daughter saw it at a garage sale for $10 and got it for me.
I haven't really played it much at all, but I do have an extra Sheffield 1290 kicking around... hmmmm

I got this one pawnshoppin ,for $79 w/ the orig cover and casters . I have to say ,aside from being a transistor amp , it is WELL made ,like all stuff back then

Quite remarkable, AlvisX mentions Segeborn...

I never understood the dislike for Peavey, especially from american folks...but now
we see the prices rise...

Segeborn is not the worst youtuber, but he
said a biblical amount of technically
uninformed bullshit about Marshalls
that makes me cringe, twitch and tiktok
more than a 14year old girl at her first
full moon period.:p
