Hey y'all - Just a quick intro. I always like to follow good forum manners. I've been having fun on guitar and amps forums since the days of dial-up modems. Wow, time flies.

I've always been a lover of Jimi, so naturally Strats (and a few nice Ibanez RGs) were always my go-to, but over the past 7-8 years, I've really fallen in love with my Les Pauls, Teles (Fender and G&Ls), and EBMMs (love the necks especially).

I've had GAS since I saw the greats of the 60s on TV! Thanks to heaven for a supportive wife!

NAD coming. Origin 20h. Found a lil' MG cab on Reverb on the cheap. Didn't those tiny ones (15"x15") come with an 8"? Anyway, someone stuffed a 12" V30 in it, and very nicely I might add. Should be interesting! I've got other cabs for it though.

Anyway, far more than you probably needed, but this looks like a lively and fun forum, with a lot of smart *'ers with great info and ideas.

    Thanks y'all!
    AustinPaul

:welcome: to the forum & HNAD!
Origin20H is a great amp - I got one too.
The MG micro stack cabs (I got a bunch of them...) are stock 10", but you can squeeze a 12" into them.
And a Vintage 30 is a good pairing for the O20H.
You can never share too much gear info here - including photos (gear porn).

Thanks bud! And on the cab, I have to say, since the Marshall doesn't get here for a few more days, I just test-drove it with my PRS "30" pumping through it, and it was much more than I expected. impressive. It's probably in my head, but I could swear it had that Marshall vibe to it. Something about that mid-range and bottom just reminded me of my Marhsall rigs - albeit in a much smaller way. But that beam-like focus of a Marshall 4x12? I noticed it in this tiny 1x12 too. Previous owner ported it, by cutting out the top 4" of the back. I dunno, maybe it just needed breathing room?

Psyched for the Origin. Lots of great demos pushed me over the edge. I've newly sound-proofed my office/studio and I'm hopful to pull-off sustained sessions on "11"!

Once I nail how the forum accepts pics, I'll gladly share some. New job hasn't been allowing me as much playtime - but, can afford more gear! ha!

Those little cabs are ported to begin with, they come with a hand hole slot in the back panel.
I've never jammed a 12" in any of mine, but I'd bet it may need some more breathing room with the bigger speaker.

"A long time ago" During Austin's greatness I'm sure. We've become a bloated, corporate, and overcrowded form of yesteryear. But still, we still find many of our old haunts that were here when you were here, because they've been around forever!

I can still get the chocolate cake at Hyde Park Grill. See the view at The Oasis. But I miss Mama Woon's and Chez Fred.

    I hate I-35.

I'm a member at UT Golf Club, and still come to Austin occasionally.

Yep, I-35 is the absolute worst. We're out by Lake Travis in Lakeway. Thankfully, I can go years without setting so much as a tire on 35.

The Oasis was "ok" back before the fire - for a HH, that's it. In its current form? Nah.

Poodies out in Spicewood on 71 - that's untouched, unspoiled. Same with Ski Shores on Lake Austin. Thankfully, it's still mostly unknown. Others? the Chili Parlor, Antones (not the same, but mostly the same), Saxon Pub and South Austin Music, Continental Club (numero uno!), Deep Eddy, Star Bar, Hoffbrau (Austin character with a "C"!), and several other landmarks that have withstood the test of time.

Other than that, perfectly happy to stay in our Lakeway bubble, along with regular trips out to Marble Falls to our favorite shooting range and offroad trails on 2300 beautiful acres.
