Hello Marshall Forum!!! My name is Jason and I have been a diehard Mesa/Boogie user for 21 years. I have been chasing tone for the past quarter century. Finally, I decided to get a Marshall. Today I traded my Mesa Nomad 100 for a Marshall DSL 100. I gotta say, after playing for five minutes, I know I definitely did the right thing. Not to say that Boogies are not good amps, but for me it just was not a fit. I wish I would have picked up a Marshall amp years ago. Oh well, better late than never!

I am looking forward to learning a lot here and having some fun!

    Rock On!!!!

Hey guys - so I was looking at the serial # on my DSL head and had a question.

I get that the first four numbers are the year M-2003-26-XXXXB. And the 26 would be the week it was built. But what is the "B" following the 4 digit serial number???

Hello scooby, welcome to the forum.
Umm, did you try the Marshall official site for more informations about their serial numbers?
I am not familiar with these, I am sorry...

    Have a nice day.
