I was in a music store in Orlando in the late 80s and saw a dark green covered Marshll 1/2 stack.

    It sounded great.

    Anyone know what it was?

I remember a guy in my area had a green Marshall back in the day. I think it was a SL.

It was probably a JCM 800 half stack in dark green levant with the large check grill cloth. I owned a 2205 in that finish and my buddy still has a 2203 from '86. Super cool look, I still have a 1960ax in the green and checker.

marshall artist model 3203. i have seen these on ebay, it kind of looked like a mini plexi. the head is not a full sized head. they are rare, because ive only seen maybe 2 or 3 for sale. let me refraise, marshall had a limited run of the artist series that was covered in the green tolex. not all of the artist amps are green.

I recall a friend had an early seventies 1959 head, PTP wiring, and the covering had a greenish tint to it. Maybe lots of Marshalls had greenish covering.

Marshall used the black on green levant on some amps and cabs from '65.
That levant is found on old Plexi amps, and Pinstripe cabs.
Then they used a much more green levant in the 80's.
It was used on different Marshall models.

    from the 80s.

The JCM 800 2204s was done in green and built in '86 and '87. They were installed in a small box to fit on top of a 4x10 cab. It is the exact same amp as their "normal" sized brothers. A buddy of mine has one in black tolex and it screams.

I hope this clears it up for you. 1986 Original Classic Limited Edition, JCM 800 2205's. 50W channel switching heads with reverb. 1960 A & B cabs with 35 W Greenback speakers and two tone woven green tweed front!! I bought them new and they still rock!! I even painted my office to complement the green tolex and yes my wife thinks I'm soft in the headbone!!

I was in the Columbus Ohio Guitar Center and there was a Green Marshall head that had the old block logo and I never seen or heard of anything like it. I dont even know it was a real Marshall or a clone someone traded in. It had 4 inputs and it was laid out like a super lead but i havent seen one since. I wish I wouldve bought it. I think it was like 1200 in mint condition it was really cool looking

My Artist 3203 half stack is green like the one pictured above.
There are very few I have seen including mine and the one listed above.
The exception being the grill cloth has large check grill cloth.
    Great sounding amp.

I know where there is a JCM 800 combo in Green for sale. I've been watching it for a year. Just can't like the green.

Yeah, it's kind of like drinking green beer on St. Patrick's Day - a novelty, but you of course prefer that standard color.
