Yep. V looks great!! Saw it on Sweetwater earlier today.

You can save $1 buying it straight out at $9999 or spend $2 extra dollars for the 6 month payment plan of $1667.

You mean the psychedelic late 60's Flying V ? That one fetches quite the price tag on the used market . Flying V's are okay and have a nice tone , but it is an awkward instrument to play .

I'm going to take a wild guess and say maybe he's talking about the Gibson Hendrix sig series "strats"

....or maybe he's not. But I for one, like the V better than these for sure lol

I'm a HUGE Hendrix fan, always have been.

But 10K for a new guitar just because it carries Jimi's name is ridiculous! I'm sure he would agree.

If one has 10K to throw down for gear, they could either buy a nice original vintage piece, either a Fender or a Gibson, or several vintage Marshall amps and cabs. Which if one were looking at it strictly from an investment POV (Which I think is what a lot of people buy these kind of instruments for) would be a far safer deal for future returns than any new guitar will be.

OR a buttload of really nice new gear..Guitars, amps and effects!

I totally agree. For that much money I could put together an entire rig of great gear.

Meanwhile , I saw one of the old original Hendrix reissue V's (trapezoid) for 2200 bucks on Reverb
Now , if there was future in all this guitar biz , Id buy that right now

I just did a Google search and ill be damned at what an fugly guitar that "was" This had to have been in Henry's final hours on the throne before he abdicated ( thank you kindly ) Yes , maybe a lot of good came ( Gibson Custom Shop ) out during his tenure from 1986 -2018 , but man i would take the Norlin era of Gibson any day of the week Google search HJ and it will say he presided over the bankruptcy of Gibson by buying all of those junk companies and trying to get into to much crap besides building guitars with GIBSON written on the headstock . Let's also not forget how horribly he treated master craftsman and designers who actually made HJ money ,the biggest sin of all of them by making Rick Gembar and Edwin Wilson walk the plank over HJ malfesence and miss management . FYI , those 2 gents were the brains behind Gibson Custom .

You could pretty much outfit a whole band for 10K but I know there are people that are die hards and have money to burn so cool if they buy them. I wonder what the market for these kind of collectibles is like.

Just another freaking money grab by Gibson. If they did a Clapton Fool SG replica that would be appropriate. But no...they come out with these and stick a $10k price tag on them. Disgusting.

    I traded this last year:

    Jimi Hendrix Strat.jpg

1997 Fender Jimi Hendrix Tribute Stratocaster.

    I paid $600.00 for it.

My late 90's Gibson Firebird V

It, along with a late 90's Gibson Firebird V, went for a Gibson Antique Walnut ES 335 Dot
