    There was also a short lived swamp ash, maple fretboard, unfinished Les Paul.

    Oh yeah, I'm not old enough to "remember" them but I have seen them for sure. I always heard that the walnut version sounded terrible!

    My favorite Gibson is the no frills LP Junior Special, a flat top with humbuckers in yellow. I'd have one but they never made them in lefty.

    I had a Gibson U2 (strat shape) with a floyd awhile back and a rare mid 80s BQ3000 (strat shape), which a local friend still has. The BQ3000 was a Custom Shop edition and had a Khaler trem. I've only seen one other and it was on Ed Romans site. I'll borrow it and get some pics.
