GC Has A '63 Gibson SG/Les Paul Junior For $4599.99!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's cool since I bought mine at an acceptable price and now vintage inflation has taken it to the stratosphere.

At the time of my purchase, I struggled to get $325.00 and now, it's nuts.

It makes it difficult or impossible for mere mortal working class people to purchase at todays prices.

We work our asses off just to provide and hopefully buy toys to justify our work.

I recently bought a used Gretsch White Falcon and Vintera 60's Fender Strat from the villianous GC with a finance deal of a 48 month payoff.

The used White Falcon at $2499.00 is the most I've ever spent on a guitar.

That's an average of $76.00 a month for 4 years............

That's a struggle for me but it's a selfish struggle.

I have a ton of cool guitars.

Even though most were bought when prices were low, I still took good $'s away from $'s that should have been for everyday living.

I'm crazy and blessed at the same time.

I get reward $'s for my purchase.............I may buy another toy when the reward $'s come my way.

The cost of my toys are a bitch.

Can we agree that the "vintage" gear market is absolutely insane right now? I mean it's like the vintage car market was 10 years ago when guys with rusted out Chevelles that were missing drivetrains would ask $10 for the chassis because the VIN said that it was originally a big block 4 speed car.

I bought my '62 w/upgraded SG Custom case for $325.00 in the early '90's

HA! I bought my 1959 Les Paul Junior (the correct "double cutaway") for $85 from the widow of the midwest Gibson Dealer Sales Rep who had Gibson "convert it" into a "Custom" (Gold hardware). He died of a sudden heart attack "on the road" calling on dealers. That was 1965.

I've used it for 2-decaded for Stage gigs and studio work and it's fadded appropriately but is still the best sounding and feeling Les Paul I've ever played except for my 1961 first year Les Paul Custom "SG".
