Hey all, I'm looking to trade my JCM800 Super Lead. This is the 100 watt (4x6550s), four input, non-master volume plexi style amp, made under the JCM800 line. The amp was previously modded at one point with a master volume (using the DI jack on the pack for the MV pot) and a fan on the left. The switch on the front and light control the fan, though currently the fan isn't hooked up. It was un-modded by the folks at Deering Amps by the guy I bought it from last fall. They even put up a page with a photo of the amp, the insides, and a Youtube video examining the signal flow: 1985 Marshall 4 Input JCM 800 model 1959 It's an awesome amp, and sounds great, but I'm looking for an amp with a master volume to tame the volume of the guitarist in my band (I'm actually the bassist). I'd love to trade this for your JMP/JCM800 2203/2103/4103 (nothing later than '85). Might consider a 50 watt, but would prefer a 100 watt. Might also consider an older Laney Pro Tube MV (six knob version only) plus cash. Feel free to PM me if you're interested or have questions. The amp is currently at my practice space, but I'll try and bring it home to post more photos later. Thanks dudes!
BUMP. I think I'm gonna keep this for now, actually. Just sold some gear (Intersound IVP) and when my band gets back from tour I'm gonna see into getting a six knob Laney AOR Pro Tube. Also, I think Marshall's look awesome with that front cloth from 1985 that had the bad dye job. The guitarist in my band has an '85 JCM 800 4x12 cab that has the same fabric and looks rad.
