Everything that’s powered by electricity will have Chinese components ( including your vehicles) , you cant avoid it . iPhones are made in China for example and they are definitely not junk . But whatever , you carry on ‘ saving America ‘ lol .

Yes but most of us here already own tube amps so the pedal would cost less than the little SS head. Definitely would like to compare the two though.

the place of our tube amps of course not. but damnitt its cool. lol

AGAIN, that's not my point no matter how hard you try to make it. And, I WILL try to save America. Someone needs to be trying.

i think the point here at least in my case is if it straight up says Made in China on it
then i try to look elsewhere. not always successful either but i try.
@Ufoscorpion you are correct in that we cant avoid things having parts made in china.
its impossible. as manufactures wanted to go cheaper to gain max profits
parts became being more made in china. the chinese love it too. the cheaper the rest of the
world got the bigger the smile China got as well. they know that means more business
and the more they would be depended upon. now look at them, their hand is in everything.
shit i aint made at china for it. hell come throw dollars my way. i'll grab every one i can get too.
shit bring your friends and loved ones. maybe they will get in on the game of the dancing bear
as well. oh and please dont run out of money, sell sell sell.

Nah, the Runt and I believe the other non hand wired amps—I think the all of 20 watters outside of the PT—are imports.

Everything Friedman is ‘assembled’ in California . Well up to now maybe , the new Runt mini no one is sure about but I have a feeling it’s no different . Warehouse guitar speakers are the same deal as are many other products .

I know the Pink Taco is hand wired but not sure on the other ‘mini’ heads...I assume they are all PCB? Loved my old BE modded Marshall but did not bond at all with either of the Freedmen ‘budget’ amps I’ve tried—Runt and PT. Really looking forward to getting my Twin Sister tho!!

The Runt 50 clean channel is off the scale brilliant.

Lol , I used to get hung up on handwired being ‘better’ than pcb , whatever better is exactly. Many amp builders firmly believe pcb is ‘better’ than handwired , Randall Smith and Mike Soldano spring to mind straight off . I wouldn’t describe any of them as ‘ budget ‘ to be honest , not just because they’re pcb anyway.

Oh I agree—all my current amps are PCB. And the Pink Taco is handwired and I didn’t like that anymore than I did the Runt. Not saying the Friedman PCB amps aren’t good amps, just that they are not made the same way as his flagship models. Me not bonding with them has zero to do with how and where they are made.

The Runt sounds amazing to my ear but it’s not everyone’s cup of tea obviously .

Please send this to our own govt who not only sell us out to them but pretend to support the working man.

And Suhr, Fryette, Bogner, Diezel... Basically any modern "boutique" amp builder that does multi-channels amps under the sun. Stevie Fryette even had a love letter printed right on his amp's PCB on that particular topic:

Oh please, your govt has nothing to do with it. It's all about corporations' greed and trying to drive costs down by sending labor-intensive to countries where labor is cheap. And in turn, consumers being OK with purchasing cheaper stuff even if it means it's imported. And it has nothing to do with it because you wanted it to be that way.

If anything, a "socialist" country where goverment has its hand in manufacturing or at least monitors the way it operates (I live in what some would a consider a "socialist country" by these metrics, mind you) would have actively acted against this, either by setting up tariffs or/and by creating incentives for keeping local production.
But you can't both want a "small state" that keeps out of these matters and complain about the byproducts of corporation greed and competition driving both prices AND quality down. Causes -> consequences. That's economics 101 (or even life 101 for that matter).
