Yes I know all Friedmans are made in Los Angeles I have a JJ Junior but since this is a solid-state and is much cheaper than the rest of his amps I figured it might be made offshore

most class D amp's are made "offshore"... :)...

Maybe he has the pedal up front made local, IDK. Where are the pedals mfgr'd?

All he'd have to do is package the pedal, make an interface & slap in a little 30 watt power amp...

I think assembled in the USA is more accurate, it even lists "using premium world wide components" aka Chinese or Korean electronics but more likely Chinese... I'm not dogging on it, just in my eyes it could be a little misleading.

It's cool, nothing too impressive from the video demos, I'd have to try one to give a definite opinion. I think for the price, the name and assembled in the US It's a pretty good value. I'd prefer it over 99% of the solid state head choices, mini or full size. This thing looks like a blast and a perfect living room or bedroom practice amp and probably sounds pretty cool thru a 4x12.

He does do it justice but right off the bat the effects send to IR sounds like my need for silent recording. In to the cab it is not the way I would use it.

Pretty much in the same boat.

I grabbed a Suhr Reactive Load box recently, and send that out to my HX Stomp for post FX and IR's...works great!

That was fun, nice little demo but I'm kinda bummed it's all gain. I know Friedmans are known for the hotrod high gain Marshall sound but that little amp would be great practice rig. I would like to see low gain with the volume rolled back as far as you can go without really losing volume.

I may snag one of these some day, totes adorbs.

I honestly don't see you guys actually using this thing. Sure its cute and sounds decent for being SS but this is a novelty item Id assume for most of the posters here? You'll buy it, play it a few times, honey moon will be over by the end of the weekend and you'll plug into one of your tube amps instead.
As a back up amp for a gig, perfect.

I agree with this at least in my case. I have a DSLH1 that fits that niche.

Pet peeve.. I get weary of amp and pedal demos that full on distort. I believe it would benefit to demo more range of the amp or pedal. I want to hear cleans, slight crunch, subtle drives too where tone and dynamics are more prevalent.

killer tone at lower volumes. light weight, packable, whats not to like?
my point was that Friedman is walking all over the bigger chunk of amp
companies out there. hes listening. hes doing. hes filling in just about
every crack and nook others are leaving wide open. little by little by little.
hes even making "amp in a box" pedals of his better amps so the tones are
reasonably reached in a stomp box and affordable to the messes. other amp
companies are scared to do that lol.

novelty item? maybe for some but if you
have had the time to be on the forum much lately there has been a big search
quest for kick ass tone at lower volumes for a lot of people.
    BAM, heres their answer.

for a SS amp those tones were way more than decent
in my opinion. will it replace our tube amps of course not. that little SS amp
just blew away anything SS marshall has ever had to offer, and it fits the bill
for a lot of the low volume requests that been popping up on here for the
    last 8 months or better.

basically, Dave is listen to his customers. he has his
finger on the pulse where so many seem to be like "ok we need to make a amp
in the $300 range, can we do it and for how cheap".
sure marshall gave the studio series finally but how damn long did it take them to do it?

i bet somewhere some ass at marshall said "hey lets do some studio versions of
a few of our classic amps". they set around the table figured it out and the big idea guy
got a pat on the back and received his brain child award. lol
well had they just listened folks have been asking for the likes for years.

I'm not into Chinese amps. At all. Even if they're assembled in the US. They do that so they can misdirect you. It's a Chinese amp. What if they used USA components and assembled them in China? I still wouldn't buy it but it would have a higher standing in my view than the other way around.

Doesn't everyone have an Orange hybrid micro head with one 12Ax7? For 200 bucks you get a big British stack tone in a small space with no tubes to bias. I think this ground is already covered.

Perhaps a little more convenient than a BE-OD > BluBox > HR FRFR108 (which is what I can pull together).

I already have a 112 Friedman cab. I have yet to gig my JJ Jr (got it Dec 31 2020).

I don't *need* this... but I kinda *want* this...
