Filter Cans Pushed Out At Top

    Howdy,

    This amp doesn't get much action these days, I noticed after my recent jam the volume sound dropped off a few times and was trying to trouble shoot, noticed the tops of these cans have starred to push out.

    Is it time for new ones?

    If the caps swell up, yes put in new ones.

    And they look original...tall and powder blue!!

    Press on them - I’ll bet it’s just the Mylar insulation cover that’s domed up and not the capacitor itself.

    That said, those caps are old and could do with replacement anyway.

    Yeah the cover is just domed up as I can press on them and it moves, im gonna take it to my tech for a suss anyway and ill save up for a recap job and my other amp till I can afford it :p
