Favorite EL34 power tubes for Marshalls?

I went from stock to the EH EL34 and it was a little warmer I think, started getting a hum after almost 3 months and the amp seems more touchy to noise when tapping around the cabinet/checked preamps tubes also, Marty Strat thinks its the tubes also.

maybe try some Tungsol or Mullards this time? cash is tight so..

 

I'm assuming it's the amp in your sig, the DSL40c.

Lots of great CP choices.
I like an EL34 with some 6L6 lows added like the JJEL34L. Especially for combo amps.
Kinda interested in the new JJEL34-II

Good ol' Shuguang EL34B's and the newer Mullard EL34 get great reviews in Marshall amps.

I been using Ruby BSTR el34s with my Superlead. Sound great and so far been reliable.
