    Hi.
Recently I bought a 2006 TSL60. It comes without end bells transformers covers. Does the TSL60 come without end bell covers?
    Thanks.

I don't want to install a end bells on it. I would like to know if the TSL60s come without a Transformers end bells. I bought the used amplifier and according to the seller, the amp worked perfectly, only it has not been used for 5 years. I got an amplifier that did not work and with many problems. Maybe the liar seller remove it. Now the amp works correctly.

    Hi.
No, I don't put a end bell cover on It. Just I want know if on 2006 the TSL60 leave the factory without end bells covers. All my Marshall have end bell cover.
Can some TSL60 owner help me?
    Thanks in advance.

I think they are only used as an aesthetic element. I have no intention of installing them.
Is it recommended that they be installed? Are they an improvement?
    I don't think so.
    Thoughts?

They do protect the transformer coil from getting poked by sharp objects, and help keep liquids out of the transformer.

They also give you added protection if you were to touch the coil while the amp is powered on. The wire insulation and the paper/plastic wrap already give good protection, but the bell guarantees your fingers can't get near the coil.

None of that is really significant since you're unlikely to do any of those things. So you don't really "need" bell covers. But they aren't just aesthetic -- they protect the transformer from idiots, and protect idiots from the transformer.

I couldn't find any pics of TSL60 guts. But I'd be willing to wager that stock would have had a bell. Simply because all other Marshalls have bells on the exposed parts of transformers.

So the real concern is "why was the transformer tampered with?"

Replacements are often sold without bells, with the idea that the old bell will get put on the new transformer.

Thank you so much for the response. You are right. End bells protect the transformers. I found some TSL60 pics. They come without end bell. Those pics has same transformers like mine.

Awesome, that's reassuring -- no need to worry that your amp has been messed with.

With the back cover on, transformers are well protected inside the headshell. And even with the cover off, it would take a freak event or someone doing something really stupid for there to be any problems.
