I was browsing Reverb and ran across an add for a "High Gain Tube Pack" for the Marshall Silver Jubilee. Apparently this pack uses what they call EL34II tubes. I seem to be finding a bunch of conflicting information on what these tubes actually are. Some sources claim they have better bottom end response and others claim they have more high end. If they sound like EL34s but break up a little sooner I think they could be a great option for some people. The lack of concrete information makes me hesitant to spend the money to find out.

Go to either thetubestore, Doug's tubes, Amplified Parts for tubes...

I wouldn't consider buying tubes off reverb....

I had planned on ordering them from a regular source if I decided to try them. Reverb just happens to be where i stumbled upon it.

I got mine from Tube Depot, they had a similar description as OP mentioned but I haven’t used them yet.
