That is a cool score brother.
Oh I can blahblahblah about WHY, but in the end I just think Marshall amps should always be in head form haha. Obvi just playin--if you can't sound great out of a DSL in any form it ain't the amp
I want to talk to @Maggot Brain after he's had the Bassbreaker for 6mos or so. He was fired up for that amp--he's still enjoying the honeymoon!
Take it from me, buy the extended warranty just in case!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The BB45 with the EL34s will chime, grind, sparkle and gleam! I don't care for the smaller Bassbreakers with EL84s, I wanted a early plexi voiced NMV amp and the Bassbreaker 45 truly delivers.
If someone is looking for a versatile MV Marshall then I don't think the DSL40Cr can be beat. I don't own one but have played one multiple times now and think they cover all of Marshall's tone history pretty decently.
You guys fuckin' rule, so now an SC20 has jumped up locally for a good price (not much more than a DSL40CR new). Given I already have an Orange PPC 2X12 that's just sitting at home (don't kill me there, but seriously that's a STELLAR cab) would it be worth owning an SC20 AND a vintage 2203 instead of the dsl40cr and 2203? Essentially 2203 and 4x12 at one rehearsal space. The sc20 and 2x12 or DSL40CR at the other where the other guitarist uses the 100w MGHDX and 2x12. Guessing the SC20 even at 20w will hang, no problem.
Keep killin' it!!!
Totally agree. Once I got the footswitch, it opened the amp up for what it can really do. Gigging with the 2 button is impossible
Is there anything you don't hate?
Show me where I have disparaged any other tube Marshall amp
