Has anyone figured out how to use the DSL1CR's (or HR, I think they are the same in this sense) emulated output? I tried connecting a pair of (stereo) headphones to it, while keeping the built-in speaker connected but nothing was coming through the headphones. I'd like to know whether I'm doing something wrong or I might have got a faulty unit.
I have the head and the headphone out leaves a bit to be desired..not overly musical, and a bit lacking in volume.
I tried it about an hour ago, and can agree with the first part of that sentence. Volume is fine in mine though, I wouldn't go too much above volume 2 on ultra gain.
New DSL emulated outs are a bit of a disappointment. The one on my 40CR is lifeless. I much prefer to use the headphone out on my Boss GT-100 when it's in 4CM to the DSL.
I haven’t heard any e-out from Marshall that sounds good, and that's a bit disappointing. I have an inexpensive little Bugera G5 Infinium that has a superb e-out, it sounds great. Also, on the Bugera, is a choice of virtual cabs to use with the e-out, 2-12 cab or 4-12 cab. I use it mostly for silent recording, it works extremely well in that application.
