My cats are females and the one likes to spray on unusual things brought into the house, especially in our mud room.

She's fixed too, but I think the animal rescue shelter fixed her. She shows sign of having kittens at some point in her life.

I keep my guitars in the living room & so far she likes them so I been lucky.

Female cats spray? Huh? Do you even own a cat?

It's because she got 'fixed' after she started her 1st Estrus cycle, not before.

Yes, they spray too. Usually, if you have cats fixed before they hit 6 months old (or rather-- before they start spraying/scent marking stuff)-- they don't develop that habit

Pets? Keep an eye on your drummer when they’ve been drinking. Dirty bastards!

My daughter had an upset stomach earlier this year, and wound up throwing up, with some of it (a few specs) hitting the black grill cloth on the CODE 50 combo. I found it strangely endearing, so I left it there. Someday I'm gonna remove the cloth, frame it, and stick it on the wall.

Well, I do have a dent in a guitar from a dropped sippy-cup ... best. dent. ever! Sounds like a great thread idea, so you should go for it!

You could also have bought covers for your half stack, so it's a bit your own fault too.

Cats belong at your house. Since my wife got her dog. All gear, including amps are locked away. Dog (female) turns 5 months next week. 70 lbs. now.

The cat's sprayed the wall, but so far not any of my amps (fingers crossed). A few years ago, a family member was over for Christmas and he collected rare books. He was given a rare 1645 book as a gift and it must have smelled right because the dog pissed all over it while it was under the Christmas tree. Not much of a collector's item now :)

Anything your cat does is your own fault. You chose to house him/her, not them. They do what they do. They are animals.

My cat could ruin anything I have, and it's my dumb-asses fault I left it available for him. Put away what you want to protect or blame yourself. We are supposed to be the higher IQ ones that know this. They are not expected to. A cab with a grill cloth is asking for trouble, the higher IQ one should already know.
