After getting detailed dimensions, thanks again @Vinsanitizer , I have proceeded to start the build to re-create some C110 cabs for my C5.
Here's a pic of someone else's C5 mini stack.
That's the look I'm going for.

Made some layouts and figured I could get each cab from a 24x48 sheet of ply.
Got 2 sheets of 1/2" 7 ply with poplar veneer & cut them up.

I'm going with some 12" speakers, not sure which ones just yet.
To keep the look of the original C110, the speaker will have to come up behind the logo plate a bit.
Here's a pic from laying out the mounting holes with a spare V30.
Not much of the speaker will be covered up so I don't think it will matter.

Got the cabs assembled today.
Waitin' for glue to dry to round the corners and sand everything down.

It may be a few days for the tolex, grill cloth and other stuff to show up.
I'll probably get some speakers mounted and wired up to try the cabs out before all the decorations arrive.

For future reference, I swapped the stock 10" speaker out of mine for the 10" recommended to me here on the forum - I'll have to check the model, but it's the Celestion 10" equivalent of the V30.

Nice looking build!

Russ
Thanks Russ. (& Vin & Joe)
I got the corners roughed in.
Here's a "gut shot" of the bracing cleats.
Just ripped some 2x4s to 3/4 square.
Glued & screwed - solid as a rock.

Grill cloth will be re-issue pin stripe.
Kinda like this C5 combo but regular script logos.

Baffles & back plates mounted.
Jacks in and wired.

Trial run. :jam:
Seventy-80 on top, V30 on the bottom.
(and the DIY cab merger is working great...)

I have another Seventy-80 in the spare Haze 112, and I think I like the 2 Seventy-80s better.
V30 gets a little farty when the volume is cranked.
Now I gotta take them all apart again for final sanding and some black stain.
Just got a shipping email from Mojotone (tolex, grill cloth, piping & handles), but the tracking # isn't showing a delivery date yet.
Should be here for the weekend, I hope.

Pfft.
What took you so long? :)
Great job as always, do you glue the tolex or fold and pin?
Would love to tackle a retolex job one day
Thanks.
I do the tolex with contact cement.
I've used both the water based and regular.

The tricky part is cutting the inside and outside corners.
Easier with the screw on corner guards to cover any screw ups.

Looks great again Fitz! Impressive. I tried tolex once. Hated it. Wanted to burn the whole thing.

And nobody but you should ever be within 5 feet of your amp. Danger zone.
