Vintage Mint Marshall Plexi's , Mint Fender Tweeds I keep em locked away. Insurance don't help you when it's a case of........ Try and find another !!!
NOT mine. But I do own one. It's too LOUD. I'm thinking of having Andy retolex to same. I bought used $700 when I first got into boutique gear, thinking "an Amp is an Amp is an Amp." I like to take it out to get that EL34 thing going... I keep for possible future use. Or simply an investment. But, if I'm not playing it, no need to display for world to see. Unless I live in a very safe neighborhood. I don't know why people buy covers.
Everything is out in the open, but I do have an alarm system and a killer Shih Tsu. And I stash my '67 SG when I am out of town. But my Strat is so shiney... I am sure some dumb robber would take it first, ha!
I love my Strat and don't want it stolen, and it was basically free so it's much easier to digest being stolen than my SG that I have had for almost 30 years!
I hide most of my gear when a service guy comes over as well as any targets etc, one time I forgot about a few targets and oil burner guy remarked, you look like a great shot and what band are you in with all this stuff....hid everything after that incident!
Mine's all on display- from INSIDE the house. From outside looking in, you can't see any of it. It's mostly only out because like some other people have mentioned, storage is tight.
Well, with all that Gibson and EVH junk who would steal anything anyway.. J/K.. Nice V, I like the color on that one.
I have some stuff out and most out of sight. I live in a condo so it is kind of pointless to get too crazy. I have good neighbors. I also have trained attack animals that can use chemical weapons and do not like strangers. I have 3 pet skunks, (and no I have never been sprayed, they like me, but the moron across the street has been).
1993 I was in a band with HS buddy bassist. At a HS reunion recently I told him I traded my '74 Tele Deluxe. He was concerned if I still had my '81 Hamer Special.
