you need 2- 810 cab's to make an SVT head work...
Nah, then you’d need two SVT’s and we wouldn’t be able to hear Ricks guitar!
no, seriously, you need to run an SVT head at 2 ohm to make it breathe/come alive...
2 heads needs 4 cab's...
You run 2 ohm, at around 4 on the volume, you start to get a growl, that no other combo can get. An aggressive warm tone.
edit) who needs to hear guitar, when you've got bass? ...
I always ran one on each cab back when I was younger, stronger, dumber, and working on middle aged deafness!
Goodness they did sound good.
Just got chills.
Good times, really good.
After hearing you play they'd probably leave you be !
After hearing me play they'd probably just bomb the island!
Except for a few glancing 'natives' remarks nobody has mentioned properly enticed [in my case deluded or with daddy issues] GROUPIES [you know what I'm talking about].
Since we're now on FANTASY ISLAND all of your guitar heroes [certainly the dead ones...] stop by to jam, eat pizza, sushi, tex mex, pancakes and bacon and STEAK! No cholesterol or ED issues and you're in the best shape and hair in your life.
I'm a 1959 + full stack of GB's an old LP Standard boat anchor & an Empress Heavy. I would have to sneak in a delay of some kind and probably get evicted...
After hearing me play the local women would most likely be lining up to give me a knob job just so I don't play....
Calling BS on that.
Won’t you help me play,
These songs of Freedom.
That’s because they haven’t heard me play.
That reminds me, the way I can make money by playing is setting up a collection bucket next to where I'm standing making noise, with the bucket carrying a clearly written sign on it saying "I stop playing when this bucket is full of money...not before." People will pull cash out of the ATM and dump it in my bucket to get me to stop. But they'll change it for ones first, of course.

their early ad's looked like this:
Interested in selling the skunkworks amps?
I've tried a few other SVT's & they aren't as mean...
If you change your mind...
interestingly, I'm getting more involved w/ bass, as I'm working on a project w/ some old friends, so bass will be my focus for some time. I've picked up a few Warwicks & have been playing those.
Komet 60, Komet 4x12 and a looper if I can't get enough natives to knock together into a rhythm section. And for a guitar Stan Webbs chicken shack burst. You said any....
