For me desert island gear must include my 2 half stacks 2555X into 2551 AV cabs with all of my Les Paul's . Then I probably wont have electricity .
My Fender Grand Nylon, a stand, a footstool, lots of extra strings, copies of the opi of the masters, a music stand, and a manicure kit.
My telecaster and twin reverb.
Just about any Carvin from 88 - 06. All great, all sleeper.
Since we're really talking about Fantasy Island here you gotta dream bigger. The embrace the suck reality being you land on this deserted desert isle without Mary Ann or Ginger and you'd be lucky to have a Leatherman and a fire starter won't come into the picture...
So a backline with perfect power to run JTM45, JTM45/100 all the Plexis from 67-73, JMP MVs into vast full stacks of holy grail greenbacks [and multiple backups for all] maybe some bassmans for when I'm feeling weird. Of course LP Standards, Strats & Teles from the classic years + super strats for wanging. Pedals of course, rack systems of course PA gear - if someone can actually sing... Drum rig or two of course.
Steak, seafood, pie, Mexican, pizza - all cooked by someone else. Coffee - alcohol for you drinking types - no weight gain, high blood pressure etc. Lots of room to crash - cleaned by someone else.
Two more things since we're here on fantasy island -
All of your heros dead or alive are available to jam and of course they're polite and helpful!
Groupies - need I say more?
Back in reality gear I gotta have - LP Standard, Satellite Barracuda, 1959, JMP2203 and 2 1960B.
One of these and hella beer.
How did we get from desert island to deserted island to fantasy island?
Desert Island gear:
We're gonna need a bigger boat:
Although itnis your thread, not sure we are allowed that many as desert island gear? If so I'll just take all of mine!
A Rainsong acoustic guitar (weather-proof), a few picks and several sets of strings. No electricity on desert island, you know.
And Ginger and Mary Ann.
Little Buddy will be cast off & the Skipper, along with the Professor and those 2 rich turds, with be thrown into a volcano.
I'll have a generator.
Assuming this desert island has an electrical outlet - Les Paul, Marshall stack, tone bender and my wah pedal.
You can use my generator.
Really simple , a Gibson Les Paul , and a Marshall with a wah wah pedal a phase pedal , a chorus pedal and a delay pedal. Ample supply of smoke as well .
Deserted islands typically don't have power so if I were you I'd choose a water resistant acoustic.
I don't know about water resistant. But agree with acoustic.
Whataya gonna do when it rains on your acoustic, or the high humidity warps the whole thing rendering it unplayable? Get the water proof guitar you'll thank me later...
