DOD Performer 585-A by vojkan posted Dec 1, 2020 at 2:43 PM DOD performer 585 delay, an 18volt, voltage controlled delay featuring multiple bucket brigade chip-sets, which means it compresses the sound and the stronger you hit the string the longer the delay time will be. Amazing effect which make your riffs resonate every space you play in (as long as the reverb is set to right room size). It can make something small played, sound so big!! (ex. U2 someday blody sunday intro). I only found it's younger bro on youtube
I've had and used over 500 pedals (still have about 250...in storage!). I am down to exactly ONE pedal (almost always on) and it's a delay: Original run, hand-wired Mad Professor Deep Blue Delay (mine is DBD 0147). It's on a medium short delay with one repeat just to give my sound some room and depth (like a good reverb but much better).
Electro Harmonix Memory Toy is a nice simple tastefull sounding analog delay pedal. It also has a modulation feature which adds a nice touch.
Thanks to everyone for the recommendations... I wish I could try or own them all. I finally decided to go with a tape echo style pedal and ordered the Catalinbread Belle Epoch. Just got it and starting to play around with it, but it seems like a capable pedal and sounds great, so far. Thanks again!
