I've been looking for a good deal on another mini (micro?) stack.
Happened to peruse the GC site this afternoon and this popped up.
    20210613_172118_HDR (2)-s.jpg
MG15CFXMS - Clean/Crunch/OD1/OD2 and some cheesy built in effects.
    MG15CFXMS - marshall.com
Usually I can always find a few mini stack variants on the usual sites at the typical unfathomably insane prices that have been the norm lately.
This popped up today for $299 - and to seal the deal, it was 5 minutes away at my local GC, so no shipping.
I couldn't stop myself - phone in one hand, gear card in the other, out & back in about a half hour.
Everything seems to be working as expected - dare I say near "mint" condition?
    Junk MG15MSII 10" 16ohm speakers.
Only bummer is no footswitch was included, but they are available if I decide to not Frankenstein the cases into my next micro-mod project.

Cool little stack, I'm told the MG15 is the best sounding MG!

    Congrats man!

    Congrats.

I had a tolex version for a few years but I sold it in a big gear revamp. :wallbash:

Hey yo! Congrats on the new mini stack! How's it sounding? I think it would be sweet to have one of these MG mini stack and a Lead 12 mini stack ran in stereo.

    Enjoy your new Marshall!

Well, I already had the Lead15 micro-stack (my 1st Marshall), and I can confirm that the MG is just not quite the same.
It has 4 channels with digital reverb & effects.
I'm not sure if the MG15 two channel is better/different than the MG15CFX.
Lead15 wins hands down for Marshall tone in a small solid state.
Still a cool little amp with lots of options without pedals.

Stick a set of G10 greenbacks in there and you'll be a happy man!

Yeah, I'm wondering if it's the speakers.
I put a set of VT jr's in the Lead15.

Yeah, the carbon fiber tolex looks pretty cool.
I think Marshall wanted to go with a modern look, only problem was they put it on the MG product line.

My first MG, but it's also one of the fx models.
Some MFer's have said some of the regular MGs are good amps.
My old G15MS is completely different then the MG15MSII.

I see the 4x12 MG CF cabs on GC frequently for about $150.
If you like the look (& size) and have some spare speakers...

I'd imagine you could get something useful out of it with an od or distortion in front. Bet it would sound better than decent in stereo too.

    Sure is snazzy though!

Ok, to be honest, I never intended to keep this little stack as an MG anything.
I'd been making offers on various MG micro stacks and cab sets on Reverb, but no one wanted to accept a fair offer.
I'd seen a few of the carbon fiber ones in the past, and figured it might be a while till one showed up again, let alone at a good price, and at my local GC.
This was what I really wanted, and was also the plan all along.

I present to you, the One and Only, Code25MS.

    20210615_131234 (2)-s.jpg
    The Code25C has a 4 ohm speaker, so I'm running a pair of 8ohm Ten-30s in parallel.
Had to flip the head front panel to the bottom, and invert the logo, due to the pcb placements on the back of the faceplate.
Sounds ok, but I'd appreciate recommendations on 10" 8ohm FRFR speakers.
I still need to make a new back panel to mount the power cord socket and the speaker jacks.
Everything is functional, and I've already got the code programmed the way I want it, and backed up to a laptop for editing.
    It's a true Franken-Marshall brain replacement mash-up.
(Got a pile of spare parts if anyone wants an MG15FX chassis or a Code 25 cab & speaker...)
