i have a jtm45 that produces a horrible cracking sound if volume is increased past 3 i took it to repair, they soldered the jack better and it was getting better but still cracks, just not as violently as before, any tips?
On tube rectified amps crackling can be a sign that the rectifier tube is about to give up, too. If it starts blowing the main fuse then that clinches it.
