I just reviewed their web page. There are so many different models! Do Ceriatone make something in the 10-15 watt range that come close or identical to my SV20? Maybe even lower wattage but still with EL34s?

Point taken...and it’s inevitable that I will. I was just curious about the is amp company because of the low prices on “new” amps. I mean, if I could get a great backup, new, for less than a grand then I might be a taker.

    Yes they are all right.
I have 18 watt that I am going to sell but thing is about these amps they are affordable.
But you don't think please that you are going to get high end stuff because if you are playing often then you'll see they brake down every once in a while.
I know that as I recently changed transofmres so now amp sound unreal.
So initially they are very good but you use it a lot...you will experience problems.
Wiring in these amps are superior.I have few amps that are highly regarded and non of those have perfect looking wiring like Ceritone.
I attached you a picture so you can see it.
So I wish you good luck in your search.

Very interesting. I was wondering why they were so affordable.

Nik builds them in Malaysia.. I bet it the labor cost is a lot cheaper there than in the US....

Granger amps are pretty much in the same price range as Ceriatone.

Ceriatone is quality kit. An amp from Nik is on my immediate list.

Check on the shipping first, if importing to another country might be some fees associated with that.

I lost a power transformer in my Ceriatone when I owned one. :(

I thought long and hard about getting another Ceriatone but for the same price or a couple hundred more you can get a real Marshall.

Ceriatone & Valvetone are great mod platforms IMO better than buying & building a kit. Of course they won't admit or advertise that because of liability issiues if you smoke yourself. Hand wired & fully assembled with way better workmanship than I could ever come up with.

I have no complaints regarding the craftsmanship of the 2 Marshalls I own. One is 38 years old and the other less than a year old and both seem to be of the same high quality. Lets see, an Asian sweat shop in Malaysia or a bunch of old English ladies in Bletchley, quality is probably about the same.

Exactly what Marshall that is apples to apples with a Ceriatone can you buy for the same money? Also why would you give up on an amp because you cooked a transformer? Marshalls smoke them just as often as any other amp.
    Bingo!

Get whatever you want to each their own, I'd rather pay a little more and get the real thing (or less in some cases).
