For all the folk wanting to hear some “vintage” G12H 55’s here’s a 68’ Bass cab with a 73’ HW 100 watter on “11”.

I would guess the 55 hz would sound great in a 4x12 than in a 2x12..

Sounds great. Unfortunately playing a 100 watt head into a single cabinet is why there are so few g12h-55 left. A “100”cabinet can handle 100 watts, maybe a short excursion to 120. Your head when cranked can do 170-180 watts. It’s your cabinet and speakers, but I would never push mine like that. My MO for vintage speaker safely is one 412 for every “50” watts.

But yours sounds great for now.

He's using 2 4x12s and maybe he uses an attenuator like nearly everyone else does? :hmm:

He said and shows “a” 4x12. A couple clicks on that attenuator would be all it takes to keep those babies safe.

Wow you really did some sleuthing to find that. In order to know that you have to leave MF, watch the video directly on YouTube then read the comment detail.

Good to know he's practicing safe amp.
