So I kept seeing this name pop up in social media, so I finally did a search and watched the video of the song that is making her famous...

If this is what young people consider music or entertainment, our world is completely fucking doomed

I feel you man, being somebody that is young and is growing up around this shit and having my peers claim these people have talent baffles me. I bet these fuckers couldn't play an instrument for their live.

And addressing your statement, this is what people think is entertainment and music and we are doomed as a society

You talking to me? No I'm not into it. It's not my thing. But I also don't think it's the end of the world that a song like that is popular.

Can come up with more descriptive less offensive pronouns than "these fuckers."

I’m only 45, have all my hair, and generally don’t care for classic rock...I ain’t worried!

Garbage. Idiots these days view music like they’re a cartoon or movie character, not musicians. Just entertainment, no musicianship. I blame the Kardashians and reality tv. Lol! Like David Lee Roth said in the 80’s, an ounce of image is worth a pound of talent. Never been more true.

one could very well say that voice can be considered an instrument.
if going that route the voice is worth way more than any guitar made
    and used way more often.

The most beautiful instrument is a hula hoop. Yeah, you know what I'm talking about...
