The amp he pictured doesn’t look like the one you did. Yours isn’t wide enough. im not going to argue it, just posting what I see.
Who's arguing? We can all have our opinions. I think what we see size wise is related to the camera angle. The angle makes the Marshall logo seem squatty as well. I base my opinion on this...The inputs are side by side on both, (I have seen both horz. And vert. Inputs on these however) input and knob layout is the same on both pics. With that input/ knob layout It can only be this amp, or it's little brother the lead 20, which is even skinnier, and would have most of the amp visable in the op's picture. That and the Faded cloth. That dates it around 1985, Imo It can only be the 2 amps I mentioned...the lead 20 eliminated due to obvious size issues.
The pix don't look the same to me either, but I won't comment on the amps because I don't know. I often see the Master Lead amps for sale locally, pretty sure there is one on CL right now. I've often wondered about them.
There are no other Marshall combos I can find anywhere that have the inputs and the controls on the left hand side configured like this, and wide enough to be the pictured amp, other than the 5010, and the Lead 20. The jtm combos are close, but they have the controls configured in pairs, not evenly spaced. If anyone can find a pic of anything else close please post it.,, and I'll concede ..
