Sum it up please I dont have 1:44:13 to kill....
Regarding the title, isn't that usually how it works? I never knew anyone who went directically from amateur to pro.
These days you can do it a lot faster with one of these:
also you need a bit of luck.
We all come into the world as amateurs of some sort.
Yup, luck's got a LOT to do with it!
I know two different guitar players from my hometown, both are very, very good..Pretty much on the same level playing-wise.
One was in the right place at the right time one night, got a offer and ran with it, went on to a great career playing with world-class bands, and became a world-class guitarist himself.
The other wound up staying in the same town..He does make a good living though, playing out, along with working as an instructor both on his own and for the music dept. of the college there.
That's why I said luck you can be virtuoso but if you are not lucky nobody will hear your name other than few people.
As long as he is happy what he dose it all it matter in the end.
Didn't watch the vid, but I'm assuming this is about making it big as a musician. Doesn't matter how good you are, there isn't the market. People don't seem to get this a lot of times. It's like wanting to be a famous swordsman in the great kingdom of Silla. Good luck.
So all that money I spent on Swashbuckling lessons was wasted??
Thanks for popping my bubble.
Me too. 35 in ...nothing out.
Those damn media runners and trend setters.
cant rush GOOD education.
Yup. If you are looking to make it big in the music industry playing guitar you are about 35yrs too late.
I believe the term was pro, not superstar.
And sure people can, personally I wouldn't want to, the guitar is there to take away my stress. If I went pro with guitar I'd have to find a different hobby to take away my stress....
Pretty sure you and dream deceiver got that one covered already.
I notice that I've been drooling on my guitar sometimes lately. Like, when I'm practicing and I'm in the zone, I'll just forget and suddenly I drool on my guitar. I try to catch it quickly, but no dice.
Does this happen to you people?
Same here, wow!
Haha, for about 25yrs! Only practicing luckily!
Better go see the Dr Bro!
