I need help or something. I’m outta control lately. I bought a Class 5 head on Reverb, good deal and all but I’m not even looking forward to it coming. I regret it already and haven’t even played it. I need another amp like a hole in my head. oh well.. could be worse things Anyone need a amp ?
I've got more Marshalls than I'd ever play in a day. I don't care. I'd buy more if the price is right and it's a model I want.
Maybe you will like it once it lands. If not you could possibly donate it to a school or something if you got a really good deal.
First we need to define what outta control really means. Did you A - Already have another amp purchase working? B- Already have two more amp purchases working? C - Have so many amps you can't enter your house? D - Starving to pay for the amp purchase? E - Wife / Sig other left you screaming about too many [email protected]!&**!!! amps!!! F - None of the above. If it's none of the above you're doing better than I am! Russ
E ... definitely E. Well she didn’t leave, but that’s just small potatos. It was kinda a half drunk purchase. I made an offer that I’d never thought would be accepted.. and it’s coming in the mail.
OCD + OSD (Obsessive Shopping Disorder) Many times I've bought something then when it arrived it was in the end a very emotionally "level" experience. I merely opened it, looked at it, then never really had the interest to go back to to it. Guitars even, sadly. Now to get anxiety because it's coming because you don't want it to even arrive is another step further. Lol. I am ..not alone in this world, thankfully.
I tried to donate a guitar to a school this year ... called a few times, left messages with each, and never heard back from anyone. Kinda left a bad taste in my mouth, so I stopped trying. I was literally only doing it as a lesson for my daughter about giving to the community in the hopes that it touches the right person (in this case, sparking an interest in a kid) ... but, I do like the guitar, so I guess I'll just enjoy it!

Interesting, maybe because of the pandemic? Or maybe it's a well funded district. I know there are non-profits that might take gear in good condition (presuming there are no covid restrictions). Probably helps to be near a big city though otherwise you might have to ship gear. https://guitars4vets.org https://www.thecmf.org/contribute/donate-an-instrument/
I currently have 3 white Marshall class 5 Combo amps with consecutive serial numbers. They're part of the 100 made for Sam Ash. I had a 4th white Class 5 combo but sold it. I pretty much plan my gear purchases but sometimes do the impulse buy. As of now, I have mucho select gear and I picky on what I buy. I'm planning on a cool purchase by the end of the year. Stay tuned.
Its not uncommon for musicians to buy gear on impulse even when they don't need it. Its something we all do. Don't feel too bad.
Well ... here it is ! I don’t need it. I’m still kicking myself in the ass. Lol. I received it on Saturday and just opened it up today. Nothing to exciting I know, but I do like it’s simplicity. I don’t know why it’s sideways.
i did this last week on eBay . I have several hobbies other than music . So i saw a collectible item that was bidding dirt cheap. I had several already , it was sooooo nice i thought man i ll help, the seller out and add a small bid of a few dollars more . I expected it to sell TWICE price after i bid ...... I won the damn auction ....smh ..... i was dreading receiving the item. I had like four in as good or better already , did not think one would slip by that cheap . I thought about not paying at first, then i thought ....man i'm needed some punishment for being so stupid impulsive. I paid up , looked at it 10 seconds and used eBays 100% satisfaction policy , processed a return form and shipped it back . Cost me time and few dollars shipping to send it back. I need to stop this kind of shit , no matter how much i find i love the item . I doubt i learned my lesson....its like a disease.
Not yet. I’m still at work. I’ll try it out when I get home. I’ll crack a cold one and see what these are all about.
