So I've been wanting a SV20h for awhile now and have the opportunity to get one new at a great price but I'm wondering if it will do that much for me. What I mean is, I already have a 6100 and 2525h, will getting the SV20h be kinda redundant? I know some of you have owned multiple amps especially the ones I mentioned so looking forward to hearing your thoughts. BTW I'm not trying to achieve a specific band's tone I'm just a gear head.

If I'm not mistaken Jethro said something the other day about the 6100 in reference to a Marshall owner disabling the bright cap on his SV20 . The inference was that the 6100 was a better SV20 ?
Which I guess means that your 6100 is the better SV20 which means the SV20 would be redundant in your circumstance.

I was just joking man. It was right there waiting to be said!

No, I have heard nothjng but great things aboit the SV20, it being so dynamic and tasty. Unless you can play it really loud, you need an attenuator besides.

For me personally, I am more of a high gain guy amd I need versatility so for me, the SC20 will be more useful amd I will still use an OD with it. The 6100 (in my case 6101 so small 1x12 combo) is just so versatile. It likely won't sound like an SV20 but that doesn't rsally appeal to me anyways overly. Between that and the 2525H etc it woild be redundant.

But that's me! You may find that non MV compact loud head to be something you yearn for. Hopefully there is a return policy.
    Get it and try it.
I'm betting it doesn't get returned!!

There is a design or manufacturing flaw, a loud hum when any amount of high treble volume is engaged.

If you have already a 1959 SLP it would be redundant. Otherwise, get the fucking amp. It’s off the hook excellent.

For me but those amps wont sound like an SV from what I hear. I just mentioned that I don't care as much for old school classic tones as modern ones.
    For me.
But if OP wants to try one, I say do it!

Right. The 6100 and the 2525 not sounding like the SV20 makes the SV20 requisite if your looking for that " plexi " thing.

Love mine! I have two other amps besides the SV20H. I only turn one of the other amps on if I want to play in stereo.
