Some of the stuff people will put on public display is absolutely beyond me.. A guy from whom I temporarily rented a room a couple of years back was a real "tech-nut", into the whole social media trip big-time and spent at least as much time, if not more having virtual conversations than having ones in real life! While I was there he came home one day all jacked up about his day trip, he had snuck into some abandoned government facility that was off limits to the public and then posted a buttload of pics of his little "adventure". He even took a pic of the "Keep out-No trespassing" sign he went around to get into the place! He would also post asinine crap like pics of the breakfast or lunch he was eating..Sheesh! He used to tell me I was out of touch, or as he put it- "unconnected". I used to tell him he needed to get a life!
Facebook! Facebook? Face-book... Ohhhh, yeah ~ that's one of those places my bass player has to go every morning and straighten everyone out. Then all is right with the world. Usually only takes a few hours.
Then again like Jack said in the movie Terms of Endearment, about using it if you have it, when Shirley McClain was getting on his ass about coming home drunk with young chicks. I'm sure many of us here agree with the OPs point about no one likes a "boaster." We are all guilty of showing off a bit at times. We all have our moments when we don't feel so "Supersonic" as well.
