Any users of the BOSS TAE on here?

If so, how do you find it compared to other load boxes, Kemper? Thinking of giving one a test drive, and giving a head to head with my Kemper. No prob's with the Kemper, but the thought of just recording my beloved JVM is appealing.

The TAE is amazing—easily the best guitar tool I’ve had in years. It is an incredible load box with dozens of different options there alone. But it is so much more than just a load box.

Not sure how to compare it to a Kemper as they are completely different things?

So the "rigs" that are saved are essentially picking a cab sim, effects, EQ, etc and storing them, yes? Along with signal chain etc. Changing rigs will change those parameters while using the same amp head. I would be more live rig than studio by far.

I use the Kemper as a recording tool. I'll be comparing them as to which gives the better result for me.

I tried an OX box and thought it was terrible. Could have been the amp I tried it with; Jubilee Studio.

    Didn't have the JVM yet.

I agree with the live part 100%--after p[laying with the TAE I am so excited to play out again! Throwing a MIDI multi modulation in the loop with a 2 channel amp makes a tube amp almost as flexible onstage as a modeler.

As far as the studio...I'm not good enough to be in a studio haha!

I have one and its likely the best swiss army knife i ever purchased.. I use it for silent practice and some recording, but mostly as a combined "attenuator"/fx loop for tube amps..

The Orange AD30 and R30 amps both use power tube saturation as key part of the tone and neither have an fx loop..so the TAE and a G system in 4CM just brings everything together... well worth every $
