I am having a damned if I do/don’t dilemma right now.
I made an unexpected purchase of a guitar that actually adds some options and variety to my collection. Necessary? No. Useful? More than most. That said, I am first in line for a yet-to-be released and heavily desired (in a niche market) Gibson. It offers nothing I don’t have (the guitar itself and its configuration), and given Gibson’s unreasonable pricing, this model (which should be $1,500-$2,000 tops for materials and build processes used) is expected to sit in the $2,500-$3000 range due to market desirability.
If I buy, I am a fool for spending so much for another hole in my head. If I pass, I am a fool for not getting it when I had the chance. Worst part, it’s not a go-to axe for me already having the model.
