Good story Doc. Now I know how Skynard felt. I know that parent and grandparent generation had no tolerance for long hair. We couldn't do anything. Just 1 ear ring, in the left ear would socially destroy you with parents, friend's parents, teachers, etc.

I wasn't allowed a jean jacket or a black leather, long hair, tattoo, etc. Back then nothing was socially allowed. Oddly, it was much better then, though that's another story.

Chicks, ....I know for sure in the '80s they dug it, and you could get them simply because of it. At least hotter babes for sure. I think it's a primal Fabio sort of thing in the right context.

I prefer short hair. I wasn't always like that. Comes with age and too lazy to style it.

I've only had one haircut since the pandemic began, and that was about 9 months ago so it's getting long now but thinning, greying, middle aged guy hair is not the same as 20's hair. I hate when it hangs in my face or when the wind really blows I look like a sick shrubbery.

Like @Sapient said while living at home in my youth my folks forced me to have a jar head, no jeans, no tattoos, etc. Well at least I learned to fight, had to since I was one of about 3 short hairs in school during the Hippie years. The other two were from religious families so I didn't hang with them.

I left home at 18 and got into punk rock so for a long time I had the typical Sid Vicious hairstyle

Later, for several years I grew my hair long and had a pony tail...yes, some of the ladies do like that look. I still had long hair when I got married but one day while sitting in our car at a Toronto intersection with my wife, a squeegee kid came up from behind and asked..."Squeegee ladies?". I got a haircut the next day.

I'll probably get another HC when this COVID crap ends, but I may just go for 2 per year in the future since I'm really not caring what others think anyway.

@mcblink - you have my respect, I wouldn't mess with you!

@Jethro Rocker - you have the classic rock star look

@Mitchell Pearrow - the long hair really works for you man

Yeah I've heard the "styling" excuse more than once..I don't get it, I spend less time styling my hair than most guys with short hair do!

Thanks Mitch! I actually needed that. :applause:

I was having a good night earlier on learning a SOAD tune but afterwards when I talked to my wife for some reason the conversation went downhill...don't even know why (probably my fault). I think everyone is just near their breaking point all the time now with these endless lockdowns, etc.

Anyway, nothing like a bit of well-played RnR to bring me back to reality. Sounds awesome!

Hopefully after I apologize tomorrow all will be well... :fingersx:
