“Hey i read on the internet, that all Marshalls are too loud. Can you validate what i read.? “ Dork

Like Eric we have an open back 2x12 with V30s. Certainly not muffled or dull. I’ve AB’d it with various cabs (the Goodmans is much darker). Compared with Greenback Ms and Greenback Hs it is a bit thinner in the midrange if anything but responds to being pushed by a higher gain amp, plenty of tight lows for an open back cab.

I was going to make a smartassed remark, but the OP doesn't seem to have much of a sense of humor.

Oh, what the heck..

"They're only muddy if they get left out in the rain!" :nutkick:
Ace Ventura is fun. Borat is fun. The dude posting above isn’t. Why post something useful if you can make a smartass comment? What rating would you give your comment if 1 is the lowest and 100 is the highest? Do you seriously find your comment witty? I’ll give it 7

I have an Orange PPC112 that I’ve tried a PRS MT15, Marshall JVM410HJS and Victory V30 amps through it. I wouldn’t call the cab muddy but it has its own character. I find it kinda boxy sounding, but that could be due to the closed back. On axis it sounds like a typical Vintage 30, bright and cutting. It should sound great when miced with a SM57.

Thanks for the 7, but like I was sayin'..

I wasn't really going for witty, I was simply trying to annoy someone with little or no sense of humor!

In that regard, it would seem I succeeded. Sorry, I sometimes just can't help myself!
But I'll go away now..

I have a sense of humor. it's just that you're not funny. Neither is the other whatever it is. Could be something humanlike

Whatever..Skol!

To me, a question about a cabinet sounding "muddy" is kinda funny in itself..I've heard folks call pickups muddy, particularly humbuckers, or even some distortion effects..But never a cab!

I don't own any Orange cabs myself, mine are all Marshalls..But I've listened to a lot of Orange cabs, and I've never heard anything that I would call a "muddy" sound or tone about them..They do sound different than a Marshall though.

A big thank you to all but 2 members for clarifying this for me
probably best, just to ignore people/answers like that, rather than retort by mentioning them. It only adds fuel to the fire. For them, it probably ended w/ their "joke" post, but, the more you mention it, the more chance it lingers on, & gets another retort, then becomes a back & forth situation, over something that really never was that big of a deal in the 1st place...

I get that. It wasn't so much the boring jokes as to not believe everything I read on the internet comment.
I found so many comments and clips so I wanted to hear if there was some truth in it or just nothing to take notice of.
