Meanwhile, I'll enjoy this 1/2 of a pizza and still meet my calorie goals.

After their bodies depleted their fat reserves it started attacking muscle making them look skinny!!!

I know Im kinda kidding!! Pretty extreme example.
It does show that your body will only hold onto fat reserves for so long then deplete them. Thus losing weight by low calorie count and not entering starvation mode,

The big problem I'm seeing today is either overeating or living on fast food..Both very bad.

    Too funny!

Agreed. That’s the real health crisis... lazy fatties overindulging in our crappy western junk food diet.

Maybe he is. Maybe he isn't. There are plenty of other athletes that are doing fine on a vegan diet. Done properly it's a non-issue.

Yep. All looking pale and lethargic. You can see it in their eyes how sunken and almost no energy to them.

Long-term health effect on vegan diet is not a good one either....

Meat have micronutrients that fruits, nuts and vegetable diets don't have... Meat protein is essential to a child's brain development...

I don’t know any vegans anymore but in my youth I knew quite a few; all were healthy. Our personal experiences are statistically insignificant. The general consensus is that the diet is healthy. It is tricky though. I suspect many people who try veganism aren’t doing enough research to properly plan a healthy diet.

Our bodies are hardwired to require certain amino acids that are only found in animal fats that are necessary for proper brain function. There is no getting around this. If you dont believe me look at the Inuit, a diet that consists of approx 85% animal fats and no veggies. They do just fine.

If you don't like meats it's prolly cause you don't know how to cook it.

The Inuit do amazingly well considering where they live. Hard to believe they were able to adapt to such extreme conditions. Studies have found that they tended toward cardiovascular problems and bone loss though. I don't think their diet is really considered optimal particularly for the average Joe six-pack.

Healthy or not is hardly the question

Hardcore weightlifting isn't a matter of health, but of building ridiculous amounts of muscle... something veganism ain't conducive to.

Especially if you actually eat the VEG part, as in food vegetables, and not a bunch of powders extracts and concentrates
