Another cab wiring question. >>>Switch question actually.<<<

1960 B cab with mono stereo switch.
speakers are 4 16 ohm


SWITCH was unplugged, and I forgot which wire goes where.
Originally had 4 wires between two plugs oem

2 legs are present on each switch, on the back panel control board thingy..
but Im uncertain of what legs are pos and neg...not marked from what I can see

I only plan on running this cab by itself in 16 ohm ...ps/sp

how do i wire this for mono? I dont care abouut stereo, or if the switch is option. MONO is my question.

A simple answer- diagram whatever is fine.
Im not interested in switches-boxes-splitters...none of it. just what legs do i need to use for a mono 16 ohm config? Perhaps maybe even a simple 2 wire config to one jack only?

Typically looking at this switch : from the outside.
the right plug is 16 ohm, and in the mono position obviously.

or get something like this and just wire for mono with a single jack

to do mono 16 ohm only...

unscrew the nuts holding the input jacks on.

Get 2 input jacks & just wire direct to the 2 jacks. Wire the jacks in parallel to each other.

Then wire the jacks to the speakers in a series/parallel scheme, or a parallel/series scheme...

The cab will then be 16 ohm mono only, from that point on...

Find a box to put the pc board w/ the switch in & store it away somewhere, or sell it on one of the marketplaces abroad... or in the classifieds here, if it works properly...

Exactly what I needed. >Why couldnt I find that?
Long story short. When I got the B cab , I rewired it with the top cab in SP , and used a mono jack like on my my top cab . Made it easy for me without any guesswork , either as a 412 or 812 . But I remembered there were 4 wires on the pcb jack ,and tossed the switch aside until today when I needed to confirm that it worked properly, before giving it to a buddy. I prefer the round mono jack only on both cabs.

According to your pic , I apparently had the right side correct. The neg on the outside leg.The opposing side was backward. Now I know.

I had both my cabs wired like this diagram, but also with another blue wire on the bottom parallel. Did the extra blue wire jack anything up? It always sounded fine either as 412 or 812

Nope, just unnecessary.
[+ to +] & [- to -] on either side pair gives you parallel pairs.
The blue creates the series between the parallel pairs.
Could go top or bottom, both is just redundant.
