    Hi,
I play my 1963 Strat for Leads and my 1974 Strat for the Rhythm Guitar parts on All Along the Watchtower. I have added some rare photos of Jimi his friends and business associates some of whom 'drank his wine'.

Just checking that I had mixed it loud enough to hear but not too loud that Janie H. would put the blockers on it ! BTW how's the reception in Bhutan ?

Yeah, the last part was very soft - I had to turn up the volume to hear it. The reception is fine here in Bhutan. No difference except the occasional "not available in your location" message for some YouTube content.

Awesome! LOVED the tone. The panning during the solo was really cool too (have no idea if that's how the original was)...great work!

One of Jimi's songs that I learned note for note although I don't play it as well as you. Feel free to take that pic of Mike Jeffries out of the video - fucking thieving bastard was no friend of Jimi's. Listen to the song 'Freedom' for clues. Or talk to anyone who was on the scene back in the day.

Thanks friend and agree with your comments . The pic just so happens to coincide with 'business men drink my wine'. Also in there is the PPX contract over 'Plowmen Dig Earth'.

Many Thanks Derek S. for your kind comments. I have been listening to the song virtually since it was released. Until I actually started to really listen to it I hadn't noticed how much panning there was in the original mix, probably too mesmerised by the notes !

In regards to PPX if anyone is interested. Ed Chalpin was an entrepreneur and record producer. On October 15, 1965, Chalpin signed a three-year recording contract with Jimi Hendrix and his New York based R&B band, Curtis Knight & The Squires. The contract gave Hendrix 1% of any royalties that his recordings earned and the sum of "one dollar." After leaving Chalpin and Knight, Hendrix went on to achieve fame, but many years of legal battles ensued regarding that first contract with Chalpin.
In September 2000 Chalpin became Administrator of Michael Jeffery Estate.

On July 5, 2002 a London High Court order was issued which read: "Ed Chalpin / PPX Enterprises Inc must not issue or release recordings on which Jimi Hendrix performed in any capacity whatsoever (other than 33 songs with Jimi Hendrix as a sideman)."

That really sounds great. I particularly liked the sound of your lead tone, especially that opening lick. Could you please describe your signal path from guitar to amp.
