Pretty good stuff, rock, not metal. good melodies and musicianship....Just did the KISS cruise with a ton of other bands.

Love it! Another perfect Pop/Rock song. The past 8 years, most of what I've been listening to is Swedish/Norwegian music. Hard to believe so many great bands could never make it in the US, but you can practically everywhere else.

Yeah, there is an unbelivable amount of quality music coming out of that area...en every style from danceable pop/radio friendly hits, to indie/rock to every variation of metal in the books.

So then you must at least be familiar with Nightwish and Kamelot?

I have of course heard of them, im just not a fan of that operatic/progressive power metal, but yeah both bands are huge and tour non-stop.

Metal is so big over there, kind of like every hot chick on the street loves Metal HUGE.

I think the problem w/ a lot of that symphonic metal is that it seems to hit the dynamic threshold & stays there at the top all too often. It's like they don't allow room to breathe. It's the more is more mentality, but, for me, it fatigues me too much after a bit & there's only so much I can listen to...

You might not say that if you listened to the full album versions. Most of them have a lot of ups and down throughout. Both dynamic and dramatic.

I guess it varies these days. About 10 years ago, I used to admin for a music site that was specialized in music from all parts of the world. I've heard a lot of Scan music. Bands from Finland, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, etc. I've heard a lot of their concerts too...

Love it. Wish Bruce Dickinson would just stick with Iron Maiden though. :D

Again, love it. Didn't listen to the whole thing, but man, I do so wish Bruce Dickinson would just stick to one band.

ha, just remembered Tobias is German......

I can't even remember all the new albums I used to listen to back then...

I'm just not a fan of compressing everything, so that everything is on volume 10 all the time. People need to approach digital like analogue a bit more. There's only so much double kick I can take w/ 2/4 timing, etc.

I prefer this kind of swedish music. like straight out of the early 70's.....Luckily for me I love early 70's rock....For some reason 70's rock/hard rock is HUGE in Sweden.
