Looks more like a Egnator ripoff than a 2204 ha

Did they have to call it wangs? Seriously,I know it’s probably named after the builder but....they could have researched American slang. Unless of course he’s trying to be the Chinese Friedman.

I think he is doing exactly that "Chinese Friedman"
Looks like a egnator sounds sweet like a 800. Should have called it a eye hole! Or maybe Chinator . Get it Chins in Chinese phone book ? Nevermind .

If build quality, and more importantly the sound/tone is up to par... I'm all for it.

Marshall hasn't shown any interest in bringing back the 2204.

Any time I hear an old Def Leppard song come on the radio,
I get an itch to seek out an old 2204 vert. input.

Since labor is so cheap in the Far Eastern Countries, aren't ALL amps "hand wired?"

Old thread I know. But no, most Egnater and Blackstar, some Fender are Chinese and made with cheap circuit boards and ribbon connectors. But what do they mean by hand wired? Like Ceriatone where it's 100%, or like a post 75 (ish) Marshall which is obviously hybrid (Boogie calls it "flying lead" construction and claims to have invented it). Somebody should post gut shots - I'm curious.

It would be a hoot if they named the speaker cabs "Gāowáns" which is Chinese for testicles....

They'd sell more with some clever marketing copy:

"........Because every Wang needs a pair"

    #metoo...

then I'd buy a proper head cab from Sourmash ($300), so it looks like a normal amp. I'd probably leave it nameless, or transfer the logo from Wang's, or have a custom Wang's, like the old Marshall plate logo, so it doesn't draw too much bad attention... :)...

like one of these: (but w/ WANGS)

I never heard of Marshalls ever being made in the 1970's.. But I have never heard of a "WANG" either... I have a 1980 Marshall JMP 2203 made in England.. A lot of the newer Marshalls are now made in Vietnam..

Wonder if the plant that makes the parts is the same as the one for the new Marshall ?
