This is NOT my special tweeded Bassman 100, but an absolutely stock one ,that I had planned to "tweed" for a trade , but the guy backed out of the deal . This is the "Normal " channel cranked thru the hot plate . I think maybe it's OK for playin some Beatles or Kool N The Gang .....but I'd rather have the tweed

    That sounds good, man.

I had a '67 for a while. Bridge the channels so you can crank both, dime the treble on the eq and play with the bass a bit. I got a sound VERY close to Hendrix's Monterey tone doing that. Most old Bassmans sound glorious with guitars, and yours is no exception. Tasty playing too.

    I love seventies Eminence speakers!

I have a few cabs with them in(Matamp, Flame etc )
The soundcity stuff is slowly going up in value, as long as you don’t move them their fine!!

I see what your saying.........that second one got gnarly and sounded like it would cut through the mix with no problems. The first one still sounded pretty good though.

That tweed modded Bassman 100 is one of the best sounding amps in the house (and I got a few good ones)
A lotta people don't get it,the tweed mod difference ...but it's pretty damn simple and WAY better than "blackfacing". The layout of the Bassman 100 lends itself to tweeding , perfectly

The phone does it no justice.
The output tranny (can we say tranny?) is actual Fender OEM...but it's the tranny used in the 90's Tonemaster and reissue Sunn Model T. I wanted that amp to be impedance selectable .

I put this amp together as part of a psych test. I had a cheap new 4x12 Fender cab to go with it .
The burning question was , if I showed up to club gigs with a rig that said Fender on it , would my reception by the club staff be different than if I showed up with Marshall logos on everything . (This is American people Im talkin about , the rest of the world dont give a sh*t)

It kinda was like night and day . I totally got way less ," You guys aren't gonna be too loud , are ya ?"

This is an amp I'll be takin to the grave . I had an amp bulider friend tell me he was chasing that tone ....so I must've done somethin right

The un-modded Bassman 100 at the top is actually for sale ,as I need to move some stuff out
OR I'll tweed it too !

I got a absolutely untouched 67 blackface that I recapped and cleaned the shit out of. Epic, perfect tone. And then I sold it. I'm not sure why I did that.
