Probably part of the previous mods (see the extra holes plugged in the front)
It was probably modded to multichannel with cascaded and the cathode follower repurposed.
Lots of the work done is functional rather than true to vintage restoration, I would normally expect the asking price to reflect this.

Hard to argue with this!

What do you think the extra resistors on the volume pots are for, specifically? The one on the standby switch is presumably to reduce strain on filter caps/pops?

I also wonder about the OT, as there are no pics (and plenty of replaced wire inside).

The pics are hard to see properly (at least on my phone) but they look like wiper to ground, so tapping off some signal at each stage. Maybe if all cascaded going for a SLO approach!!!
