50W Tremolo head amp 1959

    Hello
    I have a 50w tremolo head ampp with serial No 10085.
    Think it is from 1959...
    Good shape and bulb protector tressed :) ( beautiful)

    Any one got info about it ?
    with this serial, is it possible to confirm buit year?

    That is a 1967 #85 10 series!

    Are you sure?
    Can you tell us how many output tubes it has and how many preamp tubes? Does it have a valve rectifier too? Marshall made their first trem amps in 1964.
    A couple of pictures will speak a 1000 words.

    If it says 1959T, that is the model, not the year it was made.
    And a 1959T is a 100 watt model.
    The 50 watt model is a 1987T.

    Great amps
    I bought my early 70s 1959T after Uli Roth let me play his.

    IRRC the 100 watt version is the ST/A. Super Tremolo 100w. 50w are indicated or prefixed with T.

    Yes thought so it is 50w made late 67 - 69

    My favorite Marshall . Mine is from 1970 ,the trem was ripped out when I got it and it has remained that way ,wouldn't change a thing now

    Yes .. the tremolo is juste marvelous, with a germanium transistor. Easy to fix i think if the transistor is still there... What serial number you have?
