You mean like the top one here that I built?:

I could be tempted to sell as part of my 'rationalisation'!

No grill cloth "rattle" that I'm aware of.
I stretched the cloth right across the baffle plates.
I was getting a low frequency vibration (farting) with the completely closed cab.
May be from the 5/8" plywood, or just my home made design?
As with the speaker offset, it was a lot of guessing, and zero acoustical engineering.
But when I cut 4 port holes in the back panel, it went away.

4 holes - used a door knob hole saw (2-1/4")
Attached a black metal mesh on the inside to keep stuff from falling in.
I tried taking everything apart, looking for loose parts. and adding more fasteners to the baffle frame, but the vibration continued.
My MX112s & 6912 cabs are front ported, the Haze cabs are not.
More total guessing, but I decided to try the holes, and it seemed to work.
I've also since changed the speakers - perhaps the V30s were a little bass heavy?
I would say build you cab as planned and try this only if you have a similar problem.
Your MDF may not have a vibration like my plywood.

That's some really pro looking work you guys are doing. Exactly what I'm trying to do. Thanks for the answer about the baffle joints, that makes sense now. I was going to show you pics I found of the beveled cleat bracing that I had seen elsewhere, but @fitz288 got it covered. Vertical slanted 2x12's are my fav type of look.

In my ambition however, I keep forgetting the speaker holes and beveled corner edges, I have no tools for that. Someday soon though... I may just get a used 2x12 cab and re-tolex/re-speaker it instead.

Looks very nice man! Love what you did with the extra grill cloth. And the tolex job is spot on! Im also gonna use bronco for mine. So you took out the V30? What speakers did you put in? Im guessing for mine its gonna be perfect, closed back with two greenbacks. If not, ill do exactly like you did. Was thinking of how i was gonna use the extra tolex from the head build, but i dont use any pedals... btw the origin head looks a bit taller than the sv20h, just like mine...

I started with 2 v30's, then I put a T75 in the top, then I moved both of those to the MX112 cabs for my DSL20H.
Now I have a pair of old G12T-66's in the Origin 212 (Celestion - Marshall Marquee speakers from the Haze amps)
I have no idea of what they would compare to from current production models.

Ok so more progress tonight on my build, although it always takes longer than one thinks... thank you @fitz288 for sharing your pictures so i could get an idea on how to solve this puzzle, although mine didnt come out as clean yours.

fixed my pics being uploaded sideways... anyway, yes, a lot of screws.... the ones on each side of where the baffles meet wont be visible because im planning to run a frame around both sections of the baffle, to space the grillcloth from the baffle itself, so that it will eliminate any possible "cloth rattle", which with my luck, id probably get if i didnt do it. The screws all the way on the sides are temporary, to keep the baffle in position while glue dries. Excuses excuses....hopefully it will be finished sometime next week so i can test it. Over and out.

So last night i got done with my cab at my friends workshop and brought it home. I still need to fine tune it but now i can do it at home and can work on it little by little until its totally ready. Here are some pics

    6E5D022C-5E50-4EB9-86A0-9786D10784A5.jpeg back panel cut
08BC39E9-AE8B-4FEC-AE2D-EE51B1E4ED40.jpeg 6A5C519A-C11E-4514-9970-A2058C52FF3C.jpeg Close up of trim strip channel done with just the width of the table saw blade (3mm), And 3 mm deep, which is just perfect
65346879-A636-44B3-B265-119F5D3747F4.jpeg I went ahead and installed a frame around the baffle against baffle cloth rattle (good name for a song!) 7EBE04FF-7A0A-452E-BF00-7EA568B283AA.jpeg F556E528-873F-4BAD-B65A-1D0B3F6CA54C.jpeg ...and here is a view with the head i built some time ago. Still need to drill the holes for the back panel and attach the baffle to the cab but got very late last night and we had to call it a day. Tolex, bells and whistles will have to wait for now. Ill maybe post a little video when i finally hook it up to show how it sounds. Thanks for looking.

Nice attention to detail - bracing angles and general fitment of the pieces!

Don't you just want to throw in some speakers and let it rip?!

    I would do this.
Not just for the fun of it, but check the acoustics and see (hear) if you think any modifications are necessary before you get further into finishing details.
And for the fun of it.

Thanks @fitz288 thats exactly what im gonna do! Also found that i need to cut a slot on the inside brace that goes along both baffles as i realized theres not enough clearance for the speaker... same on top... you live you learn.. but yeah, need to save up for tolex and co. So i will be testing the cab naked for now

Thanks Russ, coming from you is a great compliment. I tried to copy from @fitz288 and his cab build...Theres a few minor things i need to do before i throw in some speakers but believe me, i cannot wait to try it out. With small kids i can only work few hours per night. Hopefully tomorrow i can fit one of the speakers. The other one is coming in a week
