    Thanks ( I think ,lol ) Dawg.
I hear ya. The amp just pissed you off so much you had to get it outta your sight!
Can't say that I have heard many complaints of that nature though.
Bound to be lemons in every batch I 'spose.?

That's great, for you.....Nobody is saying they are ALL bad, but look at the enormous number of complaints about the problems occurring with this particular model. Just based on my friend's experiences with 2 different amps having the same problem, there is no way I could recommend one of these to my best guitar playing friend.

Gotta tell ya Walshy the DSL40C is a highly recommendable amp.
The number of happy players of this amp far out numbers any unhappy ones.
Yes the stock speaker usually ( but not always ) gets swapped out and for the guys that like the Ultra channels the C12 gets clipped quite often but other than that I believe I read here that the DSL40C is the highest selling Marshall ever.

I bought my first pair in March of 2016 , both New in box , then over the course of a year, I purchased 2 more , my only problems were one bad preamp tube, in one, ands set of power tubes in the other. Knock on wood:cheers:

Yes I do , I know sounds dumb huh? But I wanted to use two of them and I gave one to my grandson, task was accomplished, but then one in classic vintage came up at a decent price and I picked it up. Also my grandsons is traditional black and gold, the two Iuse are in cream

Don't get me wrong. Thought 4 of 'em would make a great side by side double stack !!!

Brought it to my tech and he couldn't reproduce it nor could I at his shop. He ran audio through it for more than 5 hours solid. No cutout. I tried it too at his shop for 2 hours, no issues. I bring the thing home, put it only my lean back stand and turn the thing on...it starts doing it. I'm curious as to whether it's physical. Perhaps it's leaning the relay back and its making contact. I simply don't know....Still working it out....looking to put it up on milk crates straight up and down and see if it happens. It might be the lean back stand...I'm also going to jump the effects loop and engage it. That might also work....It's definitely a relay somewhere on the effects loop board. This is where all the digital crap is....Channel switching, Reverb, Effects loop and relays. The rest of the amp is analog and shouldn't be the issue.

I agree with you about it being a relay issue. I think the best thing we could do is replace that digital board instead of the main board. My tubes are fine, tested and working perfectly. The only difference between what I did and the tech is that I leaned it back on one of those cheap amp stands that leans it back slightly. It started again then.

Use a chopstick to tap / wiggle / press on the board, until you find the bad spot.
It could be a bad solder connection, bad cable between boards.

    Next time it happens:
Bypass the effects loops with a cable between send and return.
Effects jacks will cause that type cutout problem also.

Install a socket for the relay so you can plug in a fresh relay when you need to.
