I'm asking $3000 for this first year SG Supreme. I have it listed for higher on Reverb so this is the member price right here. No tax of shipping fees for you.

Christmas is coming. You've been working your butt off all year long and with Covid and lockdowns, it's been a hard two years. You're looking at this guitar because you want an SG. Why not get the best one for the money?

They didn't offer a "near mint" category for condition so I had to choose excellent. But there is only the tiniest ding and the lightest scratches on this guitar. You won't find another 1999 Gibson SG Supreme in this condition. This guitar weighs 7.5 lbs.

This is the FIRST YEAR of the Gibson SG Supremes and, in my opinion, this is the very best finish option and it is a STUNNER. This is a landmark in Gibson SG history. There are not many chances to own such a guitar in this condition.

I have swapped out the strap pins for Schaller strap locks and I am including a Franklin reversible glove leather guitar strap so you can use either the black or the red side. Franklin straps are made in Franklin, TN and are some of the best leather straps made, period.

These pickups are "stacked". If you don't know, that means they have two coils per pickup where a normal P-90 pickup only had one. The purpose of stacked P-90s is to eliminate hum. The neck pickup cavity is too shallow to accommodate both coils so Gibson affixed the second coil to the underside of the electronic cavity plate.

Shipping is free. I can usually ship the next day after payment clears but I ask for three business days to get items out. I ship UPS to anywhere in the CONUS but if you prefer a different shipping service let me know but be prepared to pay the difference if they charge more.

The guitar is sold as-described unless the guitar arrives in a condition other than described. My goal is to make you happy. If you have any issue with the guitar, contact me immediately and I will try to make you happy. I have taken lots of pictures and if you need more, I will be happy to oblige. Ask any questions before you buy. Return shipping will be paid by you.

The guitar is beautiful and plays flawlessly. It sounds great. This may be the cleanest 1999 model guitar you will ever see.

I accept PayPal and Venmo but you must have 500 or more posts here in this forum site.

A short history and description of 1999 SG Supremes:

The SG Supreme was introduced in 1999 as a high end SG model, slotting just below the SG Custom and being the top of the line USA model. Starting in 2000, humbuckers were offered alongside the P-90s and P-90s were phased out in 2001. Note: Starting in 2002, bursts emanated from the bottom instead of all sides.

It was discontinued in 2009 and effectively replaced by the SG Carved Top. In 2016, it was reintroduced as a limited run with a carved top, similar to the SG Diablo or SG Carved Top before it. In 2017, it was effectively replaced by the SG High Performance.
